Who are classes for?
Our classes are offered FREE OF CHARGE to women in need, age 18 and older, who are drug and alcohol free. A sincere desire to move from dependency to self-sufficiency is needed to graduate from Beauregard Christian Women's Job Corps®. If you have not obtained a high school diploma, we enable you to work toward that goal. Our team of volunteers desires to see you succeed!
What our graduates are saying...
“I’m finishing, not because I did it alone, but because God placed me in a team of supporters that made sure I was standing in the end.” –Y.B.
“All the teachers were patient throughout our training; they taught us things based on the Bible. And, let me tell you, it lifted that veil that had left me blind for so many years.”– B.C.
What classes are offered...and when?
Our 12-week program is available in the Spring and Fall of each year, meeting Monday through Thursday from 8:45 am -2:30 pm (lunch provided). Beauregard Parish school holidays are recognized, and classes will not meet on those days. Because this is a volunteer-driven ministry, the classes are dependent on volunteers.
- Each participant is provided with a mentor who acts as an encourager and resource person.
- Those who need to acquire a GED have the opportunity to do so.
- One week of on-the-job-training is provided to those who need workplace experience.
