The mission of Beauregard Christian Women’s Job Corps® is to give women in need the opportunity to gain job and life skills to equip them for employment, and to assist in their spiritual and emotional growth.

We believe in the Trinity, God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and the Bible as the Word of God. Salvation comes through grace by believing in Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God, our Savior and Lord. Once saved, the Holy Spirit indwells, thereby instructing, guiding, and empowering the individual to follow the mandate of Jesus Christ in daily living.

Christian Women’s Job Corps® and Christian Men’s Job Corps® are ministries of the Woman’s Missionary Union. Christian Women’s Job CorpsSM was born in March 1997. The first Christian Men’s Job CorpsSM registered in 2004.

The purpose of Christian Women’s Job CorpsSM and Christian Men’s Job CorpsSM is to provide a Christian context in which men and women in need are equipped for life and employment; and a missions context in which women help women and men help men. The program is interdenominational and promotes community involvement.

Beauregard Christian Women’s Job CorpsSM(BCWJC) began in the fall of 2004 with the participants graduating in the spring of 2005. Participants have come from DeRidder and the surrounding communities of Beauregard Parish, and the neighboring parishes of Allen and Vernon.   As of December 2011, we have had 51 graduates from the 95 who began our classes.  Of those graduates, 34 obtained employment at various locations including the school board, day care centers, nursing home, library, tourism commission, restaurants, grocery store and newspaper delivery. Eight have earned a GED, and three have gone on to college.
